SOFTCORE IS A
combo of icy-blue Scandinavia and golden-hued California: Two girls from Norway + two guys from the sunland = Musical Excitement! The first time this diversity of culture got together to rehearse, it wasn't in a dank basement, a state-of-the-art recording studio, or any of the other traditional locations typically used to hone a new musical vision. It was in an abandoned chocolate factory on the outskirts of Oslo, Norway while a furious blizzard raged outside. Within 3 months of their first string of European concerts, the band left the Old World behind for a 50-date U.S. tour. In the States, the band created lots of buzz spinning their melodic confrontational lyrics.
They were, it is said, electric.
