AS A YOUNGSTER

in Richmond, Virginia, John Eastep showed an early interest in studying and playing music. He was especially attracted to jazz and multiple forms of classical and popular music. He loved to tickle the ivories and blow-up a good, mellow sax. His talent was noticed, which led him to join a band and  start living his dream of making music…the beginnings of a life-long musical career at age fifteen. Over the following years, music would take John on an exciting global trek of performances for international corporate and non-profit clientele.  With his academic excellence and thorough understanding of dramatic film music, John became the first-ever recipient of the coveted Berklee College of Music, Boston/BMI Film Scoring Scholarship.
